Signal 13 and MileOneCares Team Up to Help Baltimore Police Lieutenant
Thanks to the Signal 13 Foundation’s supporters, a Baltimore Police Lieutenant suffering from the debilitating disease of ALS now has a much-needed mobility van that his wife drives to transport him. This was made possible because of the generosity of MileOneCares, the charitable arm of the MileOne Autogroup. Signal 13 teamed up with MileOneCares to buy a used van from a retired firefighter. It was a bittersweet day for the 30-year veteran of the BPD and his family. He asked not to be identified for safety reasons, but Signal 13 was there when the van was delivered to his home. The Lieutenant worked in the homicide division and is now on medical leave. He is a veteran of the Coast Guard and served in the Gulf War. None of this would be possible without your support and the incredible support of the team at MileOne and MileOneCares.
