Signal 13 Foundation Hosts Family Day for Baltimore City Police
It’s an event not to be missed for Baltimore City Police. It is also the Signal 13 Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. This annual fall event takes place at the Maryland Zoo on Saturday, October 4 from 11-3 p.m. Thanks to our sponsors, more than 700 police and their families can come to the zoo for a free day of fun. The Family Day event includes police show & tell in the Waterfowl Pavilion as well as facepainting, animal ambassadors, great music and food from Mission BBQ. The event concludes by honoring an officer who has gone above and beyond to do his or her job. Signal 13 is looking for sponsorships to support this event that benefits our brave first responders. Police work hard and they deserve our appreciation and thanks.
The Signal 13 Foundation supports Baltimore City Police with financial hardship grants and college scholarships for their children. Since 2015, Signal 13 has provided $592,000 in grant assistance to those in need, and more than $1.1 million in scholarships.

We have a small favor to ask. Like Sheena Scott, thousands of Baltimore Police families have trusted the Signal 13 Foundation to support them during difficult times and when they need assistance paying for college for their kids.
Like other nonprofits, Signal 13’s funding depends on generous donations from individuals, companies and foundations. We can’t do what we do for Baltimore City Police in times of need without your support. Requests for assistance are increasing and we rarely turn a grant or scholarship applicant down.
Signal 13 is celebrating 40 years of helping Baltimore City Police, and the Board’s goal is to do even more to make their lives a little easier during stressful times. We do this because we believe in supporting the brave men and women in the Baltimore Police Department who put their lives on the line everyday to protect us and the city we love.
